Hike and Bike Trail Design

BW2 provides professional civil engineering services for hike and bike trail projects that generally include trail alignment studies, trail design, storm drainage infrastructure design, construction administration and other services related to hike and bike trail planning and design. BW2 is very familiar with these types of projects, their unique constraints and issues specific to public projects and the needs of City staff. As a result, we consider ourselves an extension of City staff.

Although BW2’s primary focus for hike and bike trails has been development of non-motorized, concrete urban trails, we can also assist our clients with any other related trail development. BW2 has many years of significant experience in designing these types of facilities and are familiar with ADA and TDLR regulations and design criteria. BW2 has designed approximately 29 miles of hike and bike trails in the Dallas/Fort Worth area including projects funded by municipalities, TxDOT and Counties.
